Today IKEA and the audio equipment specialists Teenage Engineering teased a new collaboration to bring an innovative new line of products for party hosts to create music wherever you are.
Named FREKVENS (which is Norwegian for Frequency) the bold boxy instruments, which looks like to include speakers, an LED Box and a spotlight are final prototypes to be shown during Diseño Democrático. That might not be everything: When IKEA first announced the line last June, the company mentioned it would include an electronic choir, vinyl player, party lighting “and everything else you need in order to throw a really good music party wherever you are.”
According to a report from Engadget, you’ll have to wait until February 2019 to get one yourself.
From sketch to final prototype, we are checking in on #FREKVENS! Together with Teenage Engineering the aim is to create products so that you can host your party, wherever you may be. During Diseño Democrático this week we are showing the prototypes of the collection. Love it?
